You can find Ishtpreet’s workspace at 3171 in the Urban Estate, Phase-Ii area of Dugri. It’s a straightforward setup. No big receptionists or waiting rooms with magazines. Most of the time, the work involves sitting at a drafting table or a laptop and trying to make sense of a client's rough sketches. It’s a lot of small-scale stuff, like house renovations or small shop layouts. We know the Dugri area really well because we’ve lived or worked around here for a long time. People usually stop by because they’ve seen our name on a sign or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a lot of talk about budgets and building materials. We try to be honest about what things cost and how long they take, even if it's not what people want to hear. Building things is always more complicated than it looks on TV. There are plenty of days where we’re just staring at a screen trying to fix a tiny error in a layout. It’s not fast-paced or exciting in the traditional sense. It’s just steady work. We keep our coffee pot going all day and try to stay on top of the paperwork that comes with every new project. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy and we like the people we get to meet along the way. We don't really have a big staff, so we just do everything ourselves, from the first sketch to the final check.
