Our place is located in Industrial Area A, right down Phase VII on G T Road. It’s number 82 if you’re looking for the gate. This isn’t a quiet office; it’s a forge. There is a lot of heat and the sound of machines running most of the day. We work with metal, heating it up and shaping it into parts that other companies use for their machines. It is hard work and the floor is usually covered in some kind of grit, but that is just the nature of what we do. We’ve been at this location for a long time now. The guys on the floor know the machines inside out. We don’t spend much time on fancy brochures or things like that. Most of our work comes from long-standing relationships with other businesses around Ludhiana. When a shipment comes in, the whole yard gets busy with trucks. We have to keep a close eye on the temperature of the furnaces. If things aren't just right, the metal doesn't behave. It’s a lot of physical labor and making sure the measurements are correct. We just focus on getting the orders out on time so the next factory can do their part. It’s a noisy, busy life here on G T Road, but we are used to the rhythm of the hammers. We keep the machines oiled and the production moving as best as we can.
