We’ve been here at Cheema Chowk for a good while now, just doing our thing with the cars. It’s a busy spot, 38322 area, and you can always hear the traffic outside our doors. People stop by when they’re looking for something to drive, and we just talk to them like normal folks. There isn’t any fancy showroom floor or anything like that. It’s mostly just us, some keys, and the vehicles parked out front. Sometimes the coffee machine works and sometimes it doesn't, but that’s just how it goes in a small shop. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking under hoods to make sure things are alright before someone takes a car home. It gets dusty near the road, so we’re always wiping windows down. The guys who work here have been around cars their whole lives. We don't really do the whole big sales pitch thing because people around here know what they want anyway. If a car is good, it’s good. If it needs a little work, we say so. Most of our day is just paperwork and making sure the lot looks halfway decent. It’s not a complicated life but it keeps us busy from morning until we lock up at night. You get to know the neighbors after a few years. We just try to stay honest about what’s on the lot and keep the keys moving.
