J. S. Matharoo Sons

J. S. Matharoo Sons is over at No. 2617 on Street No. 4 in Janta Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren’t used to the streets. We’ve got a lot of neighbors close by, so there’s always someone talking or a scooter going past the window. Our building is an old one, but it holds up well. We have been in Janta Nagar for quite some time now. The street isn't very wide, so parking can be a bit of a struggle if you bring a big vehicle. Most of us just walk or take a bike to get here. Inside, it’s mostly just shelves and desks. We don’t have a receptionist or anything fancy like that. If you come in, you just talk to whoever is standing there. We keep things pretty relaxed. Sometimes we sit out on the steps when it’s not too hot just to get some fresh air. The kids from the neighborhood play cricket in the lane sometimes, so you have to watch your step. It’s a busy little area, but we like it here. It feels like home. We’ve got a rhythm to our days that works for us. We start early and usually finish up before it gets too dark. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a family-run place doing what we know how to do. The tea man comes by twice a day, which is the highlight for most of us.
