Janesh Knitwears

Our place, Janesh Knitwears, is located at No. 1149/4 Taj Ganj, right on Kalyan Hospital Street near Baba Than Singh Chowk. It’s one of those narrow streets that gets pretty busy during the day. We've been working out of this spot for quite some time now. We mainly focus on knitting and making various woolens and garments. The machines take up most of the room in the workshop, so it can feel a bit tight when we have a lot of stock ready to go. Taj Ganj is a hub for this kind of work, so we are surrounded by other similar shops and houses. Usually, you can hear the sound of the knitting machines from the street. We get our materials delivered and then we spend the day working through orders. It's a lot of manual work, checking the threads and making sure the patterns are coming out right. Sometimes we have to work late during the colder months when everyone wants sweaters and cardigans. We are not a big fancy factory, just a local unit doing our thing. People know us in the neighborhood, and we’ve lived and worked around Baba Than Singh Chowk for years. It’s a bit dusty and loud, but it is what we know. We just focus on the knitting and getting the bundles packed up for the customers who come by. It's a busy life but we're used to it.
