Jagjeet Motors

If you head over to Feroz Gandhi Market on Firozpur Road, you'll find Jagjeet Motors at number 82. This part of town is always moving fast, and there are cars parked everywhere you look. We deal with motors and parts, so our hands are rarely clean. Most of the day is spent under a hood or looking for a specific bolt that rolled away somewhere. The market is a hub for all sorts of businesses, but we stick to our own corner and the regulars who know we’ve been here for years. It’s not the quietest place to work, especially when the big buses go past on Firozpur Road and shake the windows a bit. We have a lot of spare parts taking up space in the back, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what a customer needs. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It’s just a workshop where things get done. You might see a stray dog sleeping near the entrance if it's a hot afternoon. We usually have some old radio playing in the background, though you can barely hear it over the sound of wrenches clanking. It’s honest work, and we don't try to make it seem like anything more than it is. We just show up, handle the grease and the engines, and go home tired when the lights go out.
