Jagdambay Forgings

You can find Jagdambay Forgings over on Guru Ram Dass Road, right in the Dhandari Kalan area near the G.T. Road. Being this close to the highway makes it easy for the trucks, which is good because we move a lot of heavy stuff. It's a busy industrial zone. There's always noise from the other factories and the traffic outside. Our shop is a place where we work with steel all day long. It's dirty work and nobody here wears a suit. We use heavy hammers to shape the parts we need. The floor is covered in metal shavings and the air usually smells like burnt coal and oil. We’ve been in Dhandari Kalan for a while. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it’s got all the gear we need inside. We spend a lot of time maintaining the old machines so they don't break down mid-shift. Sometimes the heat from the forge is almost too much, but we take breaks and get back to it. We aren't trying to be anything we're not. We just make forged parts. There's a small office in the front where we keep the papers, but most of the action is in the back. It’s a regular shop with regular people doing a tough job. We don't have fancy signs or a big lobby. Just the gate, the yard, and the workshop where the hammers keep going. It is what it is.
