J K Watch Co has been operating near Mata Plaza in Model Town for quite some time now. We are located right on the Main Dugri Road in the Dugri area. It is a busy part of the city, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We focus on watches, mostly repairing them or changing out the straps when they get worn out. The shop isn't very large, but we have enough space for our workbench and the shelves where we keep the items people leave for us. Sometimes the traffic on Dugri Road is so loud we can't hear the clocks ticking, but we don't mind much. It feels like home here. We know the other shop owners around Mata Plaza and we chat when it’s slow in the afternoons. Dealing with watches is a quiet kind of job. It requires a lot of sitting and focusing on small things. We get people from all over Model Town coming in. Some are in a big hurry, others want to talk for a while while we work. We just do the repairs and hand back the watches when they are ready. It’s a simple way to make a living. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. Just a wooden counter and our tools. It works for us and the people who live nearby. We like staying in one place.
