Surjit Mechanical Works

We are based out of unit 72-R in Industrial Area-B. Our place is on Shan Sewing Road, right behind the Corporation Office off Gill Road. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to the layout. We have been doing mechanical work at this location for a long time. The building is old and shows its age, but it’s sturdy enough for what we do. We have our lathes and tools set up across the floor. It’s often loud and there’s always something being hammered or welded. Being behind the Corporation Office means we are right in the thick of the industrial district. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just do the work that comes through the door. Most of us have been working with machines since we were young. It’s what we know. The tea stall around the corner is where we spend our mid-morning break. We talk to the other shop owners and keep up with what's happening on Gill Road. The floor gets oily and the windows are a bit dark with grime, but that’s a working shop for you. We don't try to impress anyone with a lobby or fancy chairs. We just show them the parts we’ve finished. It’s a straightforward life. If you need mechanical stuff done, you just come find us in the back. We are usually here till late evening most days.
