Sham Sunder Dyeing Factory

If you look for No. 393 near R. K. Road, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s the building where you can usually smell the dyes and see the steam. Sham Sunder Dyeing Factory has been operating from this spot for quite some time. The floor is always a bit wet, and there are buckets and vats everywhere you look. It's not the cleanest job in the world, and our clothes usually end up with some stains on them by the end of the shift. We spend most of our time mixing colors and making sure the fabric takes the shade right. Sometimes a batch doesn't come out exactly how we wanted, so we have to go back and fix it. It’s hard work, especially when it’s hot outside and the machines are running full blast. The traffic on R. K. Road can be a nightmare during the afternoons, so getting trucks in and out takes some patience. We have a small crew here, mostly guys who have been doing this for years. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a small desk in the corner where we keep the logs. Most of the space is taken up by the drying racks and the processing units. It’s a busy place and there’s always something that needs rinsing or hanging up. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just dyeing fabric.
