If you find yourself at the Ghumar Mandi chowk, you’ll see our shop right across from the State Bank of Patiala. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always something going on outside the door. We’ve been at this 665/3A address for a while, dealing with all kinds of timepieces. It’s mostly just us in here, surrounded by watch boxes and glass cases that have seen better days. People come in when their wristbands snap or when the glass on their favorite watch gets a crack. We do a lot of that kind of work. It’s not just wristwatches either; we get a lot of wall clocks brought in too. Some are those big old ones that take up half the counter. The shop isn’t fancy, and we don’t spend much time worrying about the decor. We just focus on the tools and the parts we have in stock. When the bank across the street gets busy, we usually see a few more faces popping in to ask a question or browse the shelf. Working in Ghumar Mandi means you see a lot of different people every day. Some just want a cheap strap, while others are very picky about their luxury watches. We take it as it comes. It gets dusty with the road right there, so cleaning the cases is a never-ending job. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized among all the tiny parts.
