Being over here in Raekot Phase 5 at D 131, things stay pretty loud most of the time. Inderjit Forging Pvt Ltd is basically a place where the machines never really seem to stop. You get used to the sound of the hammers and the heat from the furnaces after a while. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean, that’s for sure. Most of us have grease on our clothes by ten in the morning. We’ve been at this location for a good bit now and seen the industrial area change quite a bit around us. There are always trucks coming in and out of Phase 5 to pick up orders or drop off raw material. The floor is concrete and hard on the feet, so we try to sit when we can during the short breaks. We have a small office area but most of the real work happens out on the floor where the big equipment is. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the specs for every piece we make. The guys here have been working together for years, so we don’t need to say much to get the job done. We just show up, do the forging, and head home when the shift is over. It’s steady work and it keeps the lights on for everyone involved in the shop.
