Honey Auto Spares is located at Link Road 3rd Block 2511/2. It’s a place that is always filled with the smell of grease, old rubber, and cold metal. We have rows of metal shelves packed with parts for different cars and bikes, mostly the older models that people around here still drive. It’s very hard to keep everything organized because there are thousands of small nuts, bolts, and rubber gaskets. I usually have grease under my fingernails and on my palms from helping customers figure out what part they actually need to fix their engines. It’s definitely not a clean or polished showroom. There are cardboard boxes stacked up in the corners and old posters of motorcycles on the walls that have faded from the sun. Most of our customers are local mechanics from the neighborhood or people trying to fix their own vehicles in their driveways on the weekend. We spend a lot of time looking through thick, greasy catalogs to find the right part numbers. It’s a bit of a headache sometimes when the suppliers send the wrong items and we have to ship them back. The shop gets quite dusty because of the heavy traffic on Link Road, so I have to wipe down the glass counters every morning. My son helps out on the weekends, mostly moving the heavier stuff like brake drums or truck batteries. We have an old electric kettle in the back for making tea during the slow hours in the afternoon. It’s just a straightforward parts shop for people who work with their hands.
