Highway Industries Ltd.

We are located in Phase - 8 Focal Point, over in Mangli, not too far from the Chandigarh Road. This whole area is nothing but factories and warehouses. Highway Industries Ltd. is one of those places where you see people arriving in shifts all day and night. It’s a large site, and there’s always something going on. We have several lines running to keep up with what needs to be done. It’s a lot of metalwork and assembly. The sound of the machines is constant. You get used to it after a while, but it’s loud if you’re just visiting. The office side of things is also pretty busy, but most of the people are out on the floor. It’s not a place with shiny floors or fancy decorations. It’s an industrial plant. We deal with raw steel and big machinery. There is a lot of dust and the smell of grease is everywhere. We spend a lot of our time making sure the machines are oiled and the parts are moving correctly. It’s a lot of coordination between the different sections. Lunch breaks are usually taken in small groups near the entrance. We don't have a lot of time for talk when the machines are running. It's just a place where people come to work their hours and get the parts made. We’ve been here for a long time and the routine doesn't change much from one week to the next.
