Hardeep Autos is tucked away at 3503, Street No 10, right across from the Dana Mandi in Chet Singh Nagar. If you know Gill Road, you know it’s a crowded area with a lot of shops just like ours. We’ve been here for years. The street is usually full of bikes and delivery vans. Our place isn't very big, so we have to use the space we have wisely. Parts are stacked on shelves all the way to the ceiling. It can be a bit hard to find things if you don't know the layout. Usually, it’s just a few of us here. We spend our time looking at engine parts and sorting through boxes. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find a waiting room with coffee. It’s a working garage and shop. People stop by to ask for advice or to find a specific part they can't get anywhere else. Sometimes we're busy and sometimes it's quiet enough to have a tea and talk about the news. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. The floor has oil stains that have been there for a decade. We keep the doors open to get a breeze, but the dust from the street comes in too. It’s just a normal day at the shop. We do the work and try to keep things moving along without too much fuss or trouble.
