Happy General Store

You can find us at the back side of the Ganesh Nagar Market in the Janakpuri Shimlapuri area. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but people who live around here know the way. We keep all sorts of things, from plastic buckets to small stationery items. It’s a typical general store. The shop is usually a bit dusty because of the wind blowing through the market, but we try to keep it clean. We’ve been in this spot for a while. There is no big staff here, just us managing the counter and the inventory. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the people go by in the market. Other days everyone seems to need something at once. Shimlapuri is a busy neighborhood and there’s always something going on. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. It’s basic. We have a lot of jars filled with candies near the front for the kids. The older people come for their daily household needs. We know most of the families in Ganesh Nagar. It’s a community feeling. The shop is full of random stuff piled up, so you might have to ask where something is. We don’t mind. It’s how things are done here. Just a small shop at the back of the market. We don't even have a proper signboard sometimes, but the local folks don't seem to mind at all.
