Bedi Bakery

Bedi Bakery is right across from the Uco Bank on the main road in Haibowal. If you walk past in the early morning, you can usually smell the fresh bread and biscuits being baked in the ovens. We’ve been here for years, and the ovens are almost always going to keep up with the neighborhood. It’s a small shop with a glass counter full of cakes, pastries, and different kinds of rusks that we make ourselves. The floor is usually a bit dusty with flour, no matter how much we sweep it during the day. We don't have a big fancy cafe area for sitting, just a small space for people to stand and pick out what they want from the display. Most of our customers are locals who stop by for their daily bread or a packet of biscuits to have with their evening tea. We make everything in the back room, which is quite small and gets very hot in the summer months. We don't use any fancy machinery or high-tech equipment, just old-fashioned ovens and our own hands. Sometimes the cakes don't look perfect, but they taste exactly like they should. We aren't a big chain bakery, just a local spot where we know exactly how people like their bread baked. The main road is always busy with traffic, so there’s a lot of noise outside, but inside it’s just the sound of the timers and the occasional customer. We keep things simple.
