Gunnu General Store

Gunnu General Store is a busy little place located at Shop No. 2073 in the Main Market of Abdullapur. We are right in the heart of Abdullapur Basti in Ludhiana, specifically in the 141003 area. If you know the Indian Hobby House, we are directly opposite that. The market here is always full of people and noise, which keeps things interesting. We carry a large variety of general goods, from groceries like grains and flour to smaller items like stationery and household plastics. The shop is quite packed because we try to store a lot of inventory in a small space. You might see boxes piled up in the corners, but we manage to find what people ask for. We have been here for a long time and have seen the market change over the years. Our day starts early with sweeping the front and arranging the displays. We don't have any fancy marketing tricks; we just stand behind the counter and help whoever comes in. Sometimes the street gets very crowded with shoppers and rickshaws, making it hard to move around, but that’s just part of being in the Main Market. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it is how we have always done things. We just focus on keeping the shelves filled with the essentials that the local families need for their homes.
