Gtc International

Gtc International is located at 78/22 Guru Amar Dass Nagar. We are right near the G.S. Memorial Public School, so you can always hear the kids during recess. It’s a regular house that we’ve converted into a working space. We handle international trade, which sounds bigger than it actually is. Mostly it's just me and a couple of others sitting at desks and tracking containers on the computer. We have a lot of folders stacked up on the shelves. P.O. Rajguru Nagar is a quiet enough area most of the time. We started this because we knew a bit about how shipping works. It’s not always easy, especially when things get stuck at customs. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one by the gate. Sometimes the courier guys get lost looking for the street number. We spend a lot of time on the phone, usually talking to people in different time zones. It means some of us stay late while the rest of the neighborhood is sleeping. We have a small kitchen where we make coffee. The floor is tile and it gets cold in the winter. We don’t really do fancy meetings. If someone comes by, we just pull up a plastic chair. It’s a practical way to run things. We just keep track of the numbers and hope the ships arrive on time. It's not a flashy life, but it keeps us busy every single day.
