Grover Gift

Grover Gift is located at number 2164, right across from the Shiv Shakthi Mandhir on Gurudwara Road, which is part of M G Road in Janta Nagar. It’s a very spiritual area with the temple right there and the gurudwara close by. Because of that, we get a lot of people who are visiting the holy sites and stop in to buy a small gift or some incense. The shop itself is quite old. We have heavy wooden doors that we open every morning. The interior is filled with various items like decorative lamps, small brass statues, and standard gift items like diaries and pens. The ceiling is high, and we have some old fans that wobble a bit when they’re on high speed. It stays relatively cool inside because of the thick walls. We don't really do any advertising. People just see the sign when they are walking to the temple. Sometimes we sit on the steps and talk to the people passing by. Janta Nagar is a tight-knit community, so we see the same faces almost every day. We keep our inventory in old cardboard boxes under the display tables. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it has worked for us for years. We don't have a computer, so we do all our math on a small calculator or on paper. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except during festival times when the whole road is packed with devotees and the noise lasts all night.
