Grewal Pawandeep Singh Architect is located in the village of Jassowal Soodan. Being based in a VPO location means things are a bit different than they are in the city. It’s much quieter out here, and the pace of life is definitely slower. I spend a lot of my time working on projects that involve local land and buildings, which is exactly how I like it. The office is simple, nothing more than a room with a sturdy table and my drafting tools. Jassowal Soodan is a small place, so everyone knows where I am. I don't need a big sign or a fancy entrance. Most of the people who come to see me are neighbors or folks from nearby villages who have heard I do architectural work. The air is fresher here, though the internet can be a bit slow sometimes when I’m trying to send large files. I do a lot of my thinking while walking around the village, looking at how the old structures were built. My workspace is usually filled with the sound of the birds outside rather than traffic. It’s a modest way to run a business, but it suits me just fine. I focus on the drawings and make sure every line is where it should be. It’s honest work, and I’m glad to be doing it right here in my own community without all the noise of the town. When the harvest season comes, the whole village gets even busier, and I find myself watching the tractors go by from my window.
