You can find Grewal Paint & Hardware Store at 2 Rahon Road, which is right near the Radha Swami Satsang. It’s a fairly quiet part of the road compared to the city center, which we appreciate. The morning starts early here, especially when there are gatherings at the satsang nearby. We get a lot of people stopping by just because they saw the sign while passing. The store is full of different paints and all the hardware stuff you’d expect. We have been in this spot for a while now. The building is older, and the floor has some cracks, but it’s sturdy enough for all the heavy stock we carry. Most of our day is spent unloading deliveries or helping a customer find a specific shade of green or blue. We don’t have a computer system for the inventory; it’s all kept in a thick ledger on the desk. It might seem old-fashioned, but it has worked for us so far. My hands are usually stained with a bit of paint by the end of the shift. We have a small bench outside where customers can sit and wait if we are busy with someone else. It’s a simple operation without any bells or whistles. We just focus on keeping the shelves full and the shop open on time every single day, regardless of the weather or how tired we might be.
