Goyal Sandeep Architect

Goyal Sandeep Architect is based out of House No.49 in Phase-Ii of Urban Estate, Dugri. Working from a house gives the whole thing a different feel than being in a commercial block. It’s a bit more personal, though the living room has long since been taken over by drafting tables and filing cabinets. Phase-Ii is a nice part of Dugri, and it’s usually quiet enough that I can get my work done without too much trouble. I’ve been an architect for a while, and I find that being in a residential area helps me stay connected to the kind of buildings I’m actually designing. My desk is usually a mess of rulers, pencils, and half-eaten snacks. It’s not the most organized office in the world, but I know where everything is. People sometimes get confused when they see a house address, but once they step inside and see the blueprints spread out, they understand. The garden outside is a bit overgrown because I spend more time looking at drawings than pulling weeds. It’s just me here most of the time, making sure the plans are accurate and that everything meets the regulations. It’s a steady kind of life, and I enjoy the walk from the kitchen to my desk every morning. There’s no commute to worry about, just the work that needs to be finished before the next deadline rolls around. The neighborhood kids sometimes play cricket in the street outside, and the sound of the ball hitting the bat is background noise.
