Parvez

If you look for us near Pahva Hospital at Gill Chowk you will find the place easily enough. It is a busy corner and there is always a lot of noise from the rickshaws and cars passing by. Parvez is what we call the business and we have been operating from this spot for a while. The location is convenient because everyone knows where the hospital is. Inside the shop things are a bit cramped but we manage to fit everything we need. Sometimes the electricity goes off in the afternoon and we just sit by the door where there is a bit more light. We see all kinds of people coming through Gill Chowk every day. Some are in a hurry and others just want to look around. We don’t have any big fancy displays or bright lights to get people’s attention. Usually, someone just walks in because they were already in the neighborhood for something else. We keep track of everything in a big notebook that sits on the main counter. It is a simple way of doing things but it has worked for us so far. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t. It is just a regular shop where we do our daily business and talk to the locals. Most days are pretty much the same but that is okay with us.
