Gagan Machine Tools

Our workshop is on Nirankari Street No.2, right off the G.T. Road in the Miller Ganj area. This part of town is famous for machinery, so we fit right in with all the other shops around here. We deal with machine tools, which means there’s always a lot of heavy iron and steel lying around the place. It’s a greasy job, and your hands are never really clean even after you wash them. We’ve got a few big lathes and milling machines that take up most of the floor space. The street outside is always noisy with trucks and rickshaws, especially being so close to the main road. We don't have a fancy showroom; if you want to see what we have, you just walk into the shop and look around. Most of our customers are local workers who need something fixed or a new tool for their own business. We spend a lot of time just maintaining our own equipment because if the machines stop, everything else stops too. It gets really hot in the summer, and the fans mostly just move the warm air around, but we’re used to it. We don't spend much time on the computer, mostly we’re just out there on the floor getting things done. It’s simple, honest work that has kept us going for years in this busy neighborhood.
