G H Gift House

G H Gift House is over at 7 Sector No 1 in Chaura Bazar. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We have a lot of small items, mostly things people pick up while they are out doing their other shopping. It’s a narrow space, so you have to be careful not to knock anything over. We have shelves filled with purses, some jewelry boxes, and various plastic knick-knacks. The light inside is a bit yellow and the fan makes a clicking sound when it’s on high. I’ve been working here for years. Chaura Bazar is a loud place, so we usually have to speak up to be heard over the street noise. We don't have any fancy displays. We just put the items out on the tables and shelves so people can see them. Sometimes the stock is a bit dusty because of all the people walking by outside. It’s a very simple operation. We buy stuff, we put it on the shelf, and we sell it. There’s no big philosophy behind it. It’s just a way to make a living in a busy market. We know the other shopkeepers around here, so it feels like a little community despite the chaos. If you need a small gift and you are in Sector No 1, you just stop by. I usually have a bag of snacks behind the counter to share with the neighboring shop owners when things slow down a bit.
