Fruit Merchant

If you’re heading down G T Road near Ramol Cross Road 5, you’ll see our Fruit Merchant stall. It’s not a big supermarket, just a place where we bring in fruit from the markets and set it out for the neighborhood. We get there early to pick out the nicer looking stuff from the crates. The weather out here can be tough on the fruit, so we spend a lot of time sorting through things to make sure only the good ones are out on display. It’s a lot of lifting and carrying, but we don’t mind the exercise. People stop by on their way home from work to grab a bag of apples or some bananas. We’ve got a small team here, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We know which seasons bring the better mangoes or when the oranges are going to be sweet. We don’t have any fancy brochures or websites to show off. Usually, people just see what we have on the tables and buy it. Sometimes we have a bit of a chat with the customers about the prices or how the harvest is going this year. It feels like a real part of the community here at the cross road. We try to keep things simple and honest. You get what you see, and we’re happy to be here doing this for the folks in the area. It keeps us going every day.
