Punjab Gift Music House

You can find us in Field Ganj, sitting right near Gurudwara Kalgidhar. Punjab Gift Music House is a loud and colorful place most of the time. We’ve got gifts of all sorts on the shelves and music playing in the background. It started out as just music, but then we added items for birthdays and celebrations because people kept asking for them. The shop is a bit cramped because we try to fit so much in, from small trinkets to speakers. It’s a family-run thing and we’ve been in this spot for a long while. On festival days, it gets really crowded and we can barely move around, but it's good for business. We don't use any fancy systems to track things, we just know where everything is. Some of the old cassettes are still tucked away in the back corners, though most people want different things now. We like the location because of the Gurudwara being right there; there’s always a good crowd walking past. We don't do much marketing, mostly just people seeing the shop and popping in to see what we have. It’s a bit messy sometimes with gift wrap and ribbons everywhere, but that’s the way we like it. It feels like home to us and we’re happy to stay right where we are. We close up when the street gets quiet.
