We are located out on the Ambala ByePass at Ess Pee Batteries. The shop is basically a large room filled with heavy stacks of batteries for cars and home inverters. It is not a very clean place because the lead and the acid always leave some marks, and the floor is stained from years of work. The bye-pass is a very loud road with big trucks rumbling past all day and night. It makes the windows rattle sometimes. I spend a lot of my time moving these heavy units around using a small iron trolley. My back gets a bit sore by the end of the day, but that is just part of the job. We don't have a fancy showroom or any place for people to sit comfortably. It is just a work area with a small wooden desk where I keep my bills and a heavy stapler. My son comes by after his college classes to help me load the batteries into people's cars. We have a lot of regular customers who are truck drivers or farmers from the nearby villages. They just want something that works and doesn't cost too much. I keep a big calendar on the wall where I mark down when a battery was sold for the warranty. It is a simple system but it works for us. Some days are very slow and I just sit on a crate outside and watch the trucks go by on the bye-pass.
