Eastman Impex Ltd

Eastman Impex Ltd is based right here on Gurdial Singh Road in the Civil Lines area of Ludhiana. This part of town has a lot of history and we’ve been part of the landscape for a while. We do a lot of import and export work, which basically means a lot of paperwork and tracking shipping containers. It’s not always the most exciting job, but it’s what we know. The office is usually stacked with files and samples of things we’re moving across borders. Ludhiana is a huge industrial hub, so being in Civil Lines helps us stay connected to everything else going on in the city. You’ll find us mostly talking to agents or checking on warehouse stocks. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us in our regular clothes, drinking tea and trying to get through the daily to-do list. Sometimes the phones won't stop ringing and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the traffic outside on the main road. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years as more shops and offices opened up. We just keep our heads down and focus on the shipments. There’s always some new regulation to learn or a delay at the port to deal with. It’s just a normal workplace with people who’ve worked together for a long time now.
