Swami Printers

We have been running Swami Printers over here at No. 4278 in Durgapuri for a long time. Haibowal Kalan is a busy neighborhood, and our shop is right in the middle of all the activity of Shankracharya Nagar. If you walk inside, the first thing you will notice is the smell of ink and the stacks of paper piled up against the walls. It is not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend our days mostly listening to the steady rhythm of the printing machines. Sometimes they act up and we have to spend an hour fixing a paper jam, but that is part of the life here. Most of the people who come in are neighbors or local business owners who need a few things printed for their shops. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, whoever isn't elbow-deep in ink will come over to see what you need. It gets pretty busy around wedding season, and the shop feels even smaller then with all the card samples lying around. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out on time. The tea stall nearby keeps us going through the long afternoons when there is a lot of work to finish. It’s just a regular local print shop where we do our best to get the ink on the paper right. It isn't always easy, but we've been doing it for years.
