Durga Paint & Hardware Store

Our shop is located at SCF-2 in Dugri, near the Ab Kandivali industrial estate area. It is a very functional space without any unnecessary features. We have stacks of paint tins and rows of bins filled with different types of hardware. The walls are mostly covered with tools and various metal fittings. It gets a bit crowded inside, especially after we receive a delivery of pipes or other heavy goods. We get all kinds of people coming in. Some are just trying to fix a leaky tap at home, while others are buying supplies for much larger jobs over in the industrial estate. The floor is concrete and has some permanent marks from where we have dragged heavy crates over the years. It is definitely not a polished or fancy store. We just focus on having the items that people actually need for their daily work. Sometimes our inventory feels like a bit of a puzzle, but we generally know where even the most obscure parts are kept. The overhead lights flicker once in a while, but we do not really pay attention to that anymore. It is just part of being in this building. We open up early and stay until the evening. There is not any background music, just the sounds of the street and the conversations about building and repairs. We try to keep our prices fair so our neighbors keep coming back. It is a straightforward way to make a living and we just keep the shelves full for whoever needs us.
