Dr. Ramesh Gupta’s clinic is situated at 136 L-R on Gurudwara Road in Model Town. We are right across the street from the PNB bank, which is the easiest way to find us if you’re new to the area. Model Town is usually packed with people shopping or going to work, so there’s a lot of energy right outside our door. Inside, the clinic is a bit more relaxed. Dr. Gupta has been doing homeopathy for a long time, and you can tell by all the old jars and medicine containers lined up in the cabinets. The room where patients sit is small and has a few plastic chairs. There’s an old fan on the ceiling that wobbles a bit when it’s on the highest setting, but it keeps the air moving. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, though we usually keep the curtain drawn so it doesn’t get too hot. People from the local shops often drop by when they have a headache or a cough. It’s the kind of place where the doctor remembers your name and asks about your family. We don’t have any fancy receptionists or electronic boards; you just come in, say hello, and wait for your turn. The floor is made of old stone that stays cool even in the middle of summer. It’s just a simple, honest neighborhood clinic that’s been here for a long time, helping folks with whatever ails them.
