Dheer Eye Centre

You can find Dheer Eye Centre on Gurdawara Cmc Road in Ludhiana. We are pretty close to the Public Lab and not far from the Baba Than Singh Chowk, which makes it easier for people to give directions. Ludhiana is a loud, busy city, and our street is right in the middle of that energy. There are always rickshaws and motorbikes zooming past the front door. Inside the centre, we focus on eyes, so we have all the charts and the lenses set up in the back rooms. It’s a place where people come when they can't see the newspaper as well as they used to or when they have some irritation. We have a modest waiting area where people sit and chat while they wait for their turn. The building is older, but it works for what we need. We don’t use any fancy language here; we just explain what’s going on with someone’s vision in plain English or Punjabi. Most of our visitors are regulars who have been coming to us for years. We know their families and their stories. The day starts with a lot of cleaning, as the city dust gets everywhere. Then it’s just one person after another until it’s time to lock up. Being near the chowk means we get a lot of walk-ins who just happen to be passing by. It’s a busy life, but we like being in this part of Ludhiana where everything is happening.
