The shop is tucked away in Shimla Puri on Street Number 12. If you know Ludhiana then you know how these streets can get pretty crowded during the middle of the day. Our house number is 1731 and it’s where everything happens for us. We spend a lot of time working with different pieces and ornaments. Some days it is quiet and other days the street is full of noise and people moving back and forth. We have been part of this neighborhood for a good while now. It’s not a huge place but it fits everything we need to do our work. There are always boxes stacked up somewhere and tools sitting out on the benches. We don't really bother with any of that fancy modern decor in the office. It is just a place to work. Sometimes the tea man comes around and we take a break but mostly we are just busy with the items in front of us. Being in Punjab means there is always something going on nearby and the energy of the city keeps us moving. We know our neighbors and they know us. It’s a simple setup where we just try to keep things moving and make sure the ornaments look the way they are supposed to before they head out. It’s a decent living and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street.
