Dana Caters & Halwai

We are situated at Ayali Chowk on the Ferozepur Road, right where Dhatt Sweets Shop is. It’s a very busy intersection, so there’s always a lot of traffic and horns honking outside our doors. Dana Caters & Halwai is where we spend all our time, usually surrounded by big sacks of sugar and flour. The Ferozepur Road is a main artery, so we get all kinds of people stopping by. Our catering side keeps us on our toes, moving from one end of Ludhiana to the other. The kitchen is always a hive of activity, with someone always chopping or washing something. It’s not a quiet place. It’s loud, it’s hot, and there's always a bit of a mess on the counters. We don't try to look corporate or polished because we’re not. We’re just a bunch of people who know how to cook for a crowd. Sometimes we struggle with the deliveries when the traffic at Ayali Chowk gets backed up for miles, but we usually find a shortcut. We’ve been doing this long enough to know that things rarely go perfectly. A lid might get lost or a burner might get clogged, but we just fix it and keep going. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just make the food, serve it up, and get ready for the next day. It’s a tiring job.
