Dalsons (India)

Dalsons (India) has been at Shop No. 9 on G. T. Road for quite a while now. Being right near the Dhandari Railway Station means there is always noise and people moving about. It gets pretty dusty out here with all the trucks passing by Dhandari Kalan, but we keep the doors open anyway. We started this place because it seemed like a good spot to settle down. Most days involve just keeping up with the inventory and talking to whoever walks in from the street. The trains go by every hour, and you kind of get used to the vibration in the walls after a few weeks. It isn't a fancy setup, just a basic shop with some shelves and a desk. We spend a lot of time just organizing things or checking the mail. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside for a bit. There is a small tea stall nearby where we get our morning chai. It’s a busy road, so there is never a quiet moment really. People stop by asking for directions to the station more than anything else. We try to keep things simple here without making a big fuss about anything. It’s just us working through the day and heading home when the sun goes down. Most of the regulars know us by name now. It feels like a neighborhood spot even though the main road is so hectic.
