Commander Forgings

We are located out by Sherpur Chowk, right near where the Sardar Patel Ring Road meets the highway. Being on the Sarkhej Gandhinagar Highway means there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy trucks shifting gears. Commander Forgings has been operating out of this spot for quite a while now. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a big industrial shed with high ceilings and heavy doors. Inside, it’s always a bit dark and smells like hot metal and oil. We have the big hammers and the furnaces that stay warm even after we turn them off for the night. Our floors are concrete and stained from years of moving heavy parts around. Working with iron and steel isn't quiet work. There is always a rhythmic thumping sound that you get used to after a few days. The guys here wear heavy boots and clothes that get dirty within the first hour of the shift. We don't have a fancy office for meetings, usually just a desk in the corner with stacks of delivery notes and a teapot that’s always half full. It’s a tough environment, especially in the summer when the heat from the highway mixes with the heat from the forge. We just focus on the metal, getting the shapes right and moving the orders out to the trucks waiting by the gate. It's hard work, but we are used to the noise and the grit.
