Vidhata Plywood Laminates Pvt. Ltd. is situated on the Main Road in Ludhiana. We are right opposite the new DMC Hospital in the Civil Lines area. It’s a very busy part of the city. You can always hear sirens and the sound of cars rushing by. Our warehouse is filled with stacks of plywood and different kinds of laminates. The air always smells a bit like wood glue and sawdust. It’s a lot of physical work moving these sheets around. They are heavy and take at least two people to handle without clipping the edges. We have a small office area tucked in the front where we handle the billing. Customers come in with their architects or contractors to pick out patterns. We try to keep the stacks organized, but it’s hard when new shipments are coming in every other day. Ludhiana is a hub for this kind of work, so we stay pretty active. The floor is usually covered in little scraps of wood and plastic. We don't have a fancy display room; people just look at the boards where they are stacked. It’s a practical setup for a practical business. We’ve been here in Civil Lines for quite some time and have seen the hospital across the street grow. It’s a constant hub of activity and we are just right in the middle of it. We just keep going every day.
