Chhara Forging

If you come down to Focal Point, near the Ramakda Market at 25A536, you will hear us before you see us. Chhara Forging is all about the hammers and the heat. It is a noisy place, but you get used to the sound of metal hitting metal after a week or two. We work with different types of steel, heating them up until they glow orange before we shape them. The floor is usually covered in some soot and scale, which we sweep up every evening before we lock up. It is not the kind of place where you wear clean shoes. We have been in this spot for a good bit of time, and the neighbors know the sound of our shop. Ramakda Market stays busy, so there is always movement around us. My hands are usually stained from the oil and the tongs, and the heat from the forge is intense, especially during the months when the weather is already warm outside. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or big advertisements. We just focus on the pieces we are making and making sure the dimensions are close enough to what the client asked for. It is hard work that makes your back ache, but it feels good to see a pile of finished parts ready to be picked up at the end of the week. We just keep the fire going and stay on top of the work.
