We've been here at Focal Point Phase VIII for a good while now. It’s right across from the Bonn Bread factory on Chandigarh Road, so you can usually smell the baking bread when the wind hits just right. Most days it’s just us handling drums and getting orders out to the local factories nearby. The yard gets a bit crowded with trucks especially in the mornings when everything arrives at once. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s mostly just desks covered in paperwork and a few of us trying to keep track of what’s going in and out. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to actually get through the filing. We handle a lot of different industrial stuff. It’s not the cleanest work but it’s what we know. My desk is usually a mess of invoices and empty tea cups. We try to keep the loading dock organized but things move fast here. It’s a busy part of town and the traffic on Chandigarh Road can be a real headache in the evenings. We’ve grown used to the noise from the other plants around us. It’s just an honest day's work for the team. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. Most of the time we are out back checking the inventory or talking to the drivers. It’s how we’ve always done things.
