If you go down Street No. 1 in Makkar Colony, right in the Guru Ram Das Nagar area, you will find us at Sk Industries. Chawla Group Of Companies might sound like a big name, but we are really just a group of local people working in a busy industrial lane. The street is usually crowded with motorcycles and delivery vans, so getting in and out can be a bit of a challenge some days. Inside the gate, it’s all about the work at hand. We have different sections for different tasks, and there is usually a lot of noise from the machines running. It’s the kind of place where there is always someone shouting over the din to get a message across. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a person waiting at the door to greet you. You just walk in and talk to whoever isn't currently busy with a machine. The walls are a bit stained from the oil and the work, but that’s normal for this kind of place. We’ve been part of this community for a while now, and we know most of the other shop owners on the street. We share tea and talk about the power cuts or the road repairs. It’s a tight-knit spot. Our focus is just on keeping the orders moving and making sure we don't fall behind. It’s honest work and it keeps us all busy from morning until late evening.
