Chana Forgings sits right in the middle of Focal Point Phase VI 196. If you walk by, you will definitely hear the sound of the hammers and the machines working because forging is a noisy business. It gets very warm inside the building, especially near the units where the metal is being handled. We have a lot of heavy equipment and the floor is made of hard concrete that has seen a lot of use over the years. Our team mostly wears dark clothes because everything gets covered in soot and grease within the first hour of starting work. It is an honest way to spend the day, even if it is physically tiring. We don't have a reception area or anything like that, just the main floor where the actual work happens and a small corner for the paperwork. The trucks come in through the back to drop off raw materials and we spend hours moving stuff around to make space. When it rains, the sound on the metal roof is so loud we can hardly hear each other speak, so we just point and nod to get things done. It’s a tough environment but it is what we know. We have been in Phase VI for a long time and we are just a group of people doing what needs to be done with steel and heat every day.
