Brj Apparels Exim India is tucked away in Neem Vali Gali. That’s in the Pir Bodla Bazar in Jalandhar. If you know that area, you know it’s a maze. It’s one of those classic old market streets where everything is close together. We are at number 38. We work with clothes and apparels, mostly for the export and import market. The bazaar is always loud with people shouting and scooters honking. It’s got a lot of energy that keeps us going. Our office is just a room with some desks and samples of fabric laying around. We don't have a fancy showroom for people to browse. We mostly work over the phone and email with people from all over. Jalandhar has a long history with this kind of trade, and we are just another part of that. Some days it’s hard to get a rickshaw into the lane if it’s too crowded. But we like being in the center of things. It feels like we are part of the city’s heart. We aren't a big company with many branches. We are just here in Pir Bodla Bazar, doing our thing with garments. The walls are painted a simple white and we have a lot of tea while we work. It’s a simple life. We don't talk about being the best. We just talk about getting the clothes shipped on time.
