We've been here in Civil Lines for a while now. Most people know us for the shop on the corner. It's usually busy with people dropping off car batteries or asking about inverters. The traffic on this road can get a bit much, but we like being central. LDH is a busy place, and everyone needs power. We mostly just keep things in stock so when a customer walks in, they don't have to wait. It's not a fancy office or anything. Just rows of shelves and some testing equipment in the back. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook, other times it's quiet enough to have a tea. We handle all sorts of stuff, from small bike batteries to the big ones for home backup. The guys in the workshop know their way around most brands. It's mostly just honest work. We open up early because that's when most people realize their car won't start. If you're driving through Civil Lines, you'll see the sign. We keep the floor swept, but it's a battery shop, so there's always some dust. We don't do much fancy advertising. Most people just find us because they live nearby or someone told them to come here. It's a straightforward setup. We've got the stock, and we're here every day except Sundays, usually. The Civil Lines area is quite nice, with the big trees and old buildings, though our shop is more about functionality than looks. It’s just what we do.
