Auto Trader

Auto Trader is tucked away at D-29, Ph-V, in the Focal Point area. If you know this part of town, you know it’s mostly warehouses and small factories. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s basically a big room filled with parts and a small counter where we talk to customers. We don't have a showroom with bright lights or fancy displays. Most of the stuff we sell is sitting on heavy metal shelves or still in the boxes. It gets pretty dusty back there. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking stock or talking to suppliers. It’s not a glamorous job, but we like cars and we like helping people find the right part to get back on the road. Sometimes the loading dock gets cluttered when a big shipment comes in, and we have to spend the whole afternoon sorting through crates. We aren't part of some big national chain. It’s just a local operation. We know a lot of the mechanics in the area by their first names. They come in, grab what they need, and maybe stay for a bit to complain about the weather or the traffic. We don't do much advertising because the sign out front is enough for most people to find us. It’s a straightforward business and we try to keep it simple without any of the extra fluff.
