Having the college nearby means there is always a lot of energy and people around. Our shop deals with automotive parts and general vehicle maintenance. It’s not a large place, so we have to be careful about how we organize all the inventory. We have stacks of tires and racks of parts filling up the space. The floor is often stained with oil and there’s always a project being worked on in the back. We don't use any corporate jargon or have a complicated mission statement. We just open up in the morning and help whoever walks through the door. Some of the students from the college stop by to ask about their bikes or just to chat. Gill Road is a major route, so the traffic noise is something we live with every day. We’ve been here for several years now and we’ve become a familiar sight on the street. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle tools. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know how to do. We take the work as it comes and try to be helpful to the people in the neighborhood. It’s just a regular local shop doing regular work.
