Ashoka Furniture And Steel Works

You can find our workshop at Dashmesh Nagar. We are specifically located at 6th C Main, in the 4th Block, number 1786. It’s a bit of a maze back here if you aren't used to the street layout. Ashoka Furniture And Steel Works is a place where there is always the sound of hammering or welding going on. We work with a lot of wood and metal to make things that last. It gets pretty hot in the summer with the furnaces and the sun hitting the roof. We usually have the radio playing in the background to keep things lively while we work. Most of us have calluses on our hands from moving steel pipes and sanding down wooden boards. It’s not the cleanest job, as there’s sawdust and metal shavings everywhere by the end of the shift. We try to sweep up every evening, but it’s a losing battle. People come to us when they need something sturdy for their homes or shops. We don't have a glossy catalog or a big sales team. Usually, someone just walks in with a sketch on a piece of paper and asks if we can make it. We tell them how much it'll cost and how long it'll take. Most of the time, they're happy with that. We’ve been in this neighborhood for years and know most of the people on the block who stop by to say hello.
