Apex Confectionery

Apex Confectionery is located at Cheema Chowk on Madanjhapa Road in Nava Bazar. It’s a crowded area, but that’s good for a shop like ours. We have glass cases filled with sweets and biscuits. The smell of sugar is pretty strong when you walk in. We spend a lot of our mornings getting everything ready before the crowd arrives. Nava Bazar is a place where people are always shopping for something, so we get a lot of foot traffic. We make a lot of the stuff ourselves in the back kitchen. It gets hot back there with the ovens going. We’ve been at Cheema Chowk for quite a few years now. The counter is usually sticky by the end of the day, no matter how much we wipe it down. We have regulars who come in every afternoon for a little something sweet. We don't have a big menu or anything fancy, just the things we know how to make well. Sometimes we run out of the popular items early, and people get a bit disappointed. We try to make enough, but it’s hard to guess. The street outside is always full of cars and rickshaws honking. It’s a busy life here at the shop. We just keep the jars full and wait for the next customer. It is a simple place where people can get a treat without any fuss and move on with their day.
