Amit Enterprises

Amit Enterprises is based in G-17 at the Khurana Complex, which is right in the middle of Kochar Market. If you’ve been to the market, you know how crowded it gets, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. Our shop is just one of many in the complex, and it’s usually quite a squeeze with all the boxes we have piled up against the walls. We deal with various things, and the day usually starts with us opening the heavy shutters and trying to clear some space so people can actually walk inside without tripping. The complex itself is older, so it has that lived-in feel with various wires and old signs everywhere. It’s a busy atmosphere with people always rushing past the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone or just chatting with the regular customers who’ve been coming to Kochar Market for years. The light in the complex isn’t the best, so we have to keep the overhead lamps on all day long. Sometimes the delivery guys struggle to find a place to park their bikes outside because the lane is so narrow and full of people. We just make do with the space we have. It’s a local spot where everyone knows each other’s business. We’ve got a small kettle in the back for making tea when it gets a bit slow. It’s just how market life goes, and we are happy to be a part of it.
